A frustrating playback feature

There appears to be a feature of the livestream / timeline playback function whereby if one pauses it to go and do something else and is therefore away from the screen for quite a while, the paused ‘video’ starts to play automatically all by itself. I rediscovered (I say “rediscovered” because I remember it happening in the past and then forgot that it does happen) this tonight as I moved away from my screen to prepare and eat a meal, only to almost jump out of my skin, simply because the paused playback of ‘Temptation House’ decided to ‘kick in’ without me telling (or expecting) it to!

Other than the obvious solution of not leaving a camera page in paused mode, does anyone know how to get around this issue and what is the amount of time which elapses before it happens?

I’m no expert in this so could be talking nonsense but could it be you are reaching a buffering limit, you might have paused but it is still loading the live feed as it’s still happening

No I don’t think so, it’s simply the paused ‘action’ recommencing all by itself. If it was simply buffering, I wouldn’t expect it to start itself up again if paused.

I have seen the kind of thing you are talking about, on YouTube (and to some degree videos in our own archives) where buffering happens during otherwise uninterrupted playback.

This problem is new for me. I never encountered that.

I noticed it a while back and then forgot about it. I rediscovered it last night when I suddenly heard a rather loud pair of voices (Atlas and Pyro chatting to each other in ‘Temptation’ kitchen) which actually startled me as I was alone at home at the time!

I almost thought my luck had changed, to have those 2 lads in there with me, until I realised the sound was coming from my laptop speakers!!!
