Smoke paintings
The fumage technique (from the French “fumage” - fumigation) was invented by the Austrian and Mexican surrealist artist Wolfgang Paalen. He created ephemeral images on canvas using soot from a kerosene candle, and then used them as a basis for paintings, applying oil paints to the blurred outlines.
Contemporary artists also use fumage, for example, Stephen Spazuk from Canada. He creates “smoky” images using a lighter or a candle, and then refines them with thin brushes and brushes, giving the soot and soot more recognizable outlines, adding chiaroscuro and fine details.

The largest living cat is Hercules, an adult male liger (lion + tigress hybrid) currently housed at Myrtle Beach Safari, a wildlife reserve in South Carolina, USA. In total length, he measures 3.33 m (131 in), stands 1.25 m (49 in) at the shoulder, and weighs 418.2 kg (922 lb).
Hercules eats around 13.6 kg (30 lb) of meat – about the same weight as a two-year-old child – every day, washed down with several litres of water.
His brother, Sinbad, is slightly taller, but is also lighter. Hercules has four nephews which were born in 2014, Yeti, Odin, Sampson and Apollo. These are the first white ligers ever born with Yeti being the largest of the litter.

Merci infiniment JonR pour ces magnifiques photos sur les JO de Paris 2024. Je suis français et je n’ai pas quitté ma tv tout le temps des JO de Paris 2024. C’était une formidable organisation et un public extraordinaire. Les athlètes se sont surpassés. Franchement, et je ne dis pas cela, parce que je suis français, mais franchement, ce sont les meilleurs JO de ma vie (bien avancée) que j’ai vu. Bravo Paris, bravo la France. Et ce soir, je viens de regarder l’ouverture des JO paralympiques et cela commence très bien. La belle vasque s’est rallumée et s’est envolée à nouveau.

@kaya I have the impression that the problems with this topic - it was ‘invisible’ to users on several occasions and automatic closure has been announced - are related to the fact that the account of the topic creator and all of his messages have been deleted.
