Charley Crockett - K__lers of the Flower Moon
Following my YouTube flow at the moment, here’s a new one for me. Pretty darn fine song, and a creative video along!

impressive video, must have taken someone a lot of work. I am going to have to watch that movie now
That was once we had managed to finance the purchase of what we liked, but one had to be “selective”. But of course we had tape recorder etc. in addition!
I liked Charley Crockett Not a newcomer apparently, launched 11 albums since 2015.
Charley Crockett is new to me too, have to check him out more.
Those were the days my friend, we thought they never end…but apparenty they did, for good or bad
He apparently starred here at “Scene Cosmopolite” on Sept. 21, 2023.
Patti Smith Group - Babelogue/Rock ‘N’ Roll Nigger
Happy Birthday to Patti Smith, who is turning 77 today, three days after Lenny Kaye, her guitarist since 1971 (three days above). One of my all-time favourites!
Indigo Girls - Closer To Fine
Two young women with one one of the best lessons life can give you - “the best thing you’ve ever done for me, is to help take my life less seriously.”
Still following your YouTube flow? Never heard of them either, but a nice tune and message. Looked them up and found a good one they had worked on with Pink.
Dear Mr. President
Electric Light Orchestra - Evil Woman
I have to congratulate one of my favorites Jeffrey Lynne with his birthday turning 76 today. He is the co-founder and leader of the rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), which was formed in 1970, and as a songwriter has written most of the band’s hits, including “Evil Woman”, “Don’t Bring Me Down” and “Hold On Tight”. During the 1970s and 1980s, ELO released a string of top 10 albums and singles.
Formerly also in The Move, The Idle Race and Later with Traveling Wilburys.
I’m adding one more with Jeffrey Lynne and Traveling Wilburys member George Harrison playing with so much talented people on one stage. Ringo, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Phil Collins, Ray Cooper and more at The Prince’s Trust Rock Gala 1987.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Well, when I get on a roll, the songs just come flowing one by one
Apart from the LP with Closer To Fine on it, which I own, Indigo Girls are not very familiar to me. They had some success from the late 80’s through the 90’s, surfing a little on the wave after Suzanne Vega’s and Tracy Chapman’s hits.
Perhaps time to check them out some more. They have some fine folky pop-rock, with thoughtful lyrics to match.
Sinéad O’Connor - Molly Malone
Damn what a singer and a voice we lost this year. May she be rememberd
Mariah Carey - “Auld Lang Syne (The New Year’s Anthem)”
This one has become a tradition on New Year’s Eve the last 10-12 years! Mariah Carey uses her signature whistle notes and sense of humor alongside a danceable beat, noting, “Does anybody really know the words?” (No, Mariah we don’t, you’re perfect.)
John Prine – That’s the Way the World Goes Round
Happy New Year everone. The world goes around and around. It’s the only world we’ve got. Let’s take care of it, and eachother. Peace and love to all
