What's the best song you have heard today?

Your very welcome!

Coast To Coast is a pretty tradidional rock song, so no wonder it reminds you of something else. Somehow it triggers my curiosity too. However, even though the clock only around 18:00 now, I’m already to dwunk to think more about it  :clinking_beer_mugs:

Let me know if you figure it out

Hm, that was interesting. I’m familiar with all the songs mentioned, but I don’t quite hear the song in question in any of them. Let’s see what Lukas might find.

The sound of the song also seems familiar to me, but apparently it’s simply a mix of what I listed.
I do think that Status Quo bears a striking resemblance to it.

After all this be-er and rock ‘n’ roll today, I’m beginning to get sentimental. What else is new :joy:

Sierra Ferrall - Years (2022)

Years
Everybody knows you gotta let 'em go
And they kinda roll by like tears
Just a measure of time
Playin’ with your mind, passin’ you by, those years

I’m wondering what exactly you’re looking for?
At best, you might find a few riffs similar to those of “Coast to Coast”. But there is definitely no cover version or plagiarism of it.

I have the feeling that I know the melody line in the chorus

that sounds very familiar.

I have already had several people in my music circle looking for it; they all agree with me that it sounds like something

Perhaps it’s like I remember Nick Lowe said in an interview I once read (quoted freely from my memory): “The best song are the ones that you think you’ve heard before, but you cant figure when or where.”
