I also started in the service, as a Medic with a specialty in Medical Air Excavation and evacuated casualty within the theater of operations (Dustoff) to transporting patents from around the world. Prior to becoming a Physicians Assistant ¶ I reached the rank of Chef Warrant Officer. On competing my degree in Healthcare Sciences and becoming a PA I was promoted to Major. On retiring from the service I worked in a clinic with a number of Doctors, Nurses and other PAs that had all had time in the service.
Retirement age here is 65 but when I reached 60 I saw a number of guys I served with about my age passing away. I started to think there is more to life than work and making more money…especially when you can’t enjoy the fruits of your labor and family. So I retired at age 60. It turned out to be one the best things I’ve ever done. I lost my wife just over 5 years after I retired to cancer. I got to spend the last 5 years of her life with her and not at work.

Hola a todos, bueno, creo que cuando me presenté en el foro dije algo acerca de elegir una profesión en la que se suele estar rodeada de hombres: arquitecta.
Al menos acá (en mi país), sigue siendo una profesión muy machista, no solo por quienes hacen ejecución de obra sino porque los cargos más altos suelen ser de hombres.
Sin embargo, mi vida no fue por el lado de la construcción de casas y edificios, sino por el empleo en organismos estatales que controlaban la documentación de proyectos de infraestructura y vivienda y la posterior inspección.
Así que es una “deformación profesional” ser observadora y tratar de estar en los detalles.
De momento estoy siendo mamá a tiempo completo (mi hijo es discapacitado) así que manejando los tiempos de un modo distinto y dedicándome a él y a sus terapias hasta que todo esté encaminado

After a life of odd jobs, like janitor assistant, factory jobs, painter and hospital orderly. with studies and a rather bohemian life style on the side, I’ve have finally settled as a grumpy old office worker, which is probably what I’ll be the last three years before my…ehem…“career” ends and I become a senior citizen.

seem to be over the worse now , the grim reaper gave up waiting for me and moved on to his next victim lol still in hospital but they have unwired me from the mains and i can now be myself and wind up these nurses by going missing and hiding away when meds time comes , got to have some fun 
hoping to go home tomorrow after the docs been to see me .

nope the classic big african mamas mostly on the night shift thats when im a very good boy obviously . but the daytime nurses are not to bad couple of hot totties and they know it ,but they have to be carefull as im on the cardio ward , everytime they come on the ward , the machines go into overdrive . beeps n peeops everywhere , not really but its what i would expect , most of these iold farts in here look like they have already given up , NOT ME !!!
