Not exactly, just some info that victim is ok, no prrsonal information is needed.
It would only open up more points of criticism and could further victimize the victim.
I think you have already done and explained a lot today.
Many people thought that VHTV violence or a___e doesnât matter as long as the money is right.
Some of her explanations have shed light on the darkness.
Information âManager is in the apartment, solving issueâ can be enough, with no victimization.
You still say far too much
Thatâs understandable. But I am sure you guys are smart enough to know how much information can be released just to let people know that the incident has been taken care of and to warn the other participants that there are serious consequences to such behaviour.
@marcie59 you and I clearly have a different perspective on violence. Thatâs what I see in your case - âviolence is always violence, I donât want to look at it, just get it away from meâ. In that approach, it doesnât matter if the violence is happening somewhere or not, you just donât want to see it. Itâs an understandable point of view, I respect it, but that approach doesnât reduce violence in general. My approach is to reduce the amount of violence in general. And if I have a chance to change the behavior of a violent participant, I will try to do so. Unfortunately, in Russia, where most of the reals take place, there are not, and are not expected to be, any legal ways to counteract domestic violence. Thatâs why I, in particular, see as one of my missions the reduction of violence at least where I can do something.
Separately, I would like to point out that your analogies with the âbig brotherâ show contestant, the NASA employee, and the co-worker who punched someone are false. In all of your examples, the âr____tâ is separated from the victim. If we just close the realm, these people will still be together, and the r____t will still be doing his thing.
All that is internal business stuff. When these things happens and cams go off and the footage gets deleted, thatâs vhtv inforiming the audience that itâs being taken care of. Accept that the outcome was the best option for the situation and move on.
@Bluewinner That is absolutely exactly what it is. And Iâve already made it clear to everyone in the pages of this thread that I am intransigent to violence, so that none of the violence that has been identified will go without significant investigation.
I personally do accept that, thatâs why I said I believe VHTV is dealing with the incidents professionally, but as you can see there are many on the forums who need further clarification.
This is the kicker thatâs the expulsionists have a hard time grasping. This is why it is best to just leave it up to you guys to sort it out and do whatâs going to be best for the situation at hand.
They donât deserve it and vhtv would do well not to delve into it. Taking the apt offline and doing whatever they do behind the scenes is their business. That should be explanation enough.
If vhtv says anything it should be this. Weâre handling it. Be cool!
Turning off cameras is like looking away. The problem is not solved. andrey28 explained it well in Russian what I tried in English. Attitudes towards violence need to be changed. This is different in the world.
Leaving them on only creates a bigger audience that only further humiliates the victim. Vhtv canât reach through the cams to stop anything. The victim is going to get it the same whether the cams are on or off.
But unfortunately, some viewers will never get that, and itâs just a matter of time another white knight will demand further closures and expulsions, and vhtv in its kindness will step up here to explain everything once again
Then explain this to me, violence is reported. The cameras go off. For a short time. When they light up back we see broken face of the victim. Complains starts to flood. Still, it shows beautifully how the rebel goes to rest peacefully, and the victim is squeezed in agony on the couch. Hours and hours.
How people wouldnât get the feeling that nothing was done?
Just one sentence from CEO like âWe are desperately trying to contact menager, no luck so far.â would be enough to calm majority of people here, at least in some degree.
We hope they do, we just donât see it. Specially with camera rolling like nothing happened.
what realm did the violence take place
It will never be enough and before you know it they will enjoy their power over vhtv and they will start bending everything to their selfish desires itâs for the best, theyâll say. In some ways itâs nice that RLC says nothing.
I support wholeheartedly the intentions of this thread in trying to stop violence in any way or form, and I also acknowledge the difficult situation that VHTV finds itself in.
The positive thing to come out of this is that paying members will not and cannot accept this and this has been firmly established and I really donât care where you come from as it is wholly unacceptable.
The participants of these realms should take note of our distaste in this matter and raising this issue on the forums should be looked at as constructive, not negative criticism and I hope and pray they do take notice.
As I said we should acknowledge the difficult situation that VHTV finds itself in and support them in trying to sort out this out as they have a clear motivation to do so, as it is clear that paying members do not like this and it would be foolish for them not to act.
So guys please give them a break to try and sort this out and we can monitor the situation and well done so far for what they have done so far and an even bigger thanks to the OP @Handsdown for rasing this.
