Leonard Cohen . So Long, Marianne
Mariane
Slight cheat again, there is one letter missing. But when this video showed up in my recommendations, I had to look for a Marianne in the archives. There are none, but what did I find, an old favourite guest girl at Lydia & Loki’s place, back when they where a couple!
There’s another tale to tell here. The Marianne in the Leonard Cohen song is the Norwegian woman Marianne Ihlen, who were in a relationship with him for several years from around 1960. When she passed away in July 2016, Leonard Cohen posted this on social media:
Well Marianne, it’s come to this time when we are really so old and our bodies are falling apart and I think I will follow you very soon. Know that I am so close behind you that if you stretch out your hand, I think you can reach mine. And you know that I’ve always loved you for your beauty and your wisdom, but I don’t need to say anything more about that because you know all about that. But now, I just want to wish you a very good journey. Goodbye old friend. Endless love, see you down the road.
Leonard Cohen then passed away a little over three months later.
In addition to So Long Marianne, Marianne Ihlen was also the inspiration for the Cohen songs Bird On a Wire and Hey, That’s No Way To Say Goodbye
Now perhaps back to topic. And perhaps I should get a life
I guess same as that one?
Wonderful song not missing at any party in the seventies.

Would it be unacceptable rule breaking to sneak in another one (though actually MY first), relating to Aderyn?
If not:
Aderyn Llwyd (which translates as ‘Grey Bird’) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI4FC9OW4H0
Oh yes, of course, the picture (you’ve chosen a lovely one). I won’t insert that into my own post (as it’s yours and rightly so) but just let it stay where it is, if that’s OK.
I was just browsing the timeline, and settled for this one, thinking to myself, at least that is a decent one. Glad to hear you like it
Here’s another one about London and Paris
This song from ELO comes from their success-album “Discovery” that I felt like a change in their music-style after the greatest success out of the blue. Nonetheless they had other great songs long before that like “evil woman” (who could we attach that to ??) or “can’t get it out of my head”, focusing on almost every lady within VHTV, or “roll over Beethoven”. ELO - a masterpiece in music.

Next title from a milestone in music - Randy Newman.
Most people remember him from songs like "I love LA, short people - or the title-music from the tv-series MONK Its a jungle out there.
Very striking voice with a high recognition
