Marius Müller - Carmen

If anyone wonders, the language in the song is Norwegian. Marius Müller had a solid career in Norway in the 1980’s and 90’s, and he is considered one of the finest Norwegian guitar players ever. Sadly he passed away in a traffic accident in 1999, only 40 years old.

I’ve never heard of Marius Müller, but he’s a great musician.

In “Mias’s Song” his appearance reminded me a lot of Jeff Healey (sitting with the guitar on his lap) and his style reminded me a little of Mark Knopfler in “Local Hero”.
Overall, a song that I will definitely listen to more often.

Marius Müller sure was a great player, but he sung mostly in Norwegian, so he did not get well known outside of Norway.

I can see the Jeff Healy and Mark Knopler similarities. Marius was fond of Hendrix too, and he was doing a damn fine version of Little Wing, which can be found on YouTube.
