VHTV and the Chamber of Chatters

questions maybe ,but when someone makes a simple comment and its ussually there 1 st comment they say something like /!“i really like ####” there the ones that are most of the time and its those that get ignored very rarely recieve a like

Yes i was always getting thumbs down on my posts before by certain members who didn’t even regularly post on the forum. They have since been banned i think.

exactly which means they need written comments to encourage them . im guilty of it aswell for ignoring newbies ,but this conversation as given me the gumph to start to reply to them hopefully others will aswell even if its just a welcome to the forum as the blue bar states "this is ### 1st post welcome them "

I haven’t said anything about VHTV Forum metrics dropping. I said it grows & drops by itself, organically, which is absolutely healthy thing to observe. There is certain influx of users to VHTV Forum instead, compared to VHTV Main. We link this to organic success of VHTV Forum and we see how much new people find out about VHTV from search engines. Which is absolutely expected.

VHTV Main, instead, has overall visits dropped month by month starting from the last year. Why would it be? Is it because the project is dead and is getting worse for you? Or we just stopped buying ads because we’re confident in our project growing by itself not in terms of overall visitors, but in terms of our paid subscribers base? Of course, not everything comes organically, but we also have other methods of growing subscribers base besides of buying millions of traffic as everyone does in online businesses of this scale. That could give you correct clue if you choose the right answer.

Interesting. Even if it so, could it be satisfactory result for us whole to have less members/their posts flagged by eventually removing such members from the community because they got too many flags approved by the team? But I’ve checked just now the stats on posts to flagged posts ration for the past two years, and can see there is less than 3% of total posts get flagged. Which is satisfactory result to me. But there’s more. Flag means almost nothing if it’s not approved. Approved flag (when team member agreed with flag reasoning) ratio is less than 0.5% to all posts made. Which is more than satisfying result and is giving understanding that the communication is very healthy, which I am thankful a lot to everyone here.

Here are rough stats, per month basis

It is power of Many to flag and keep the community tidy. The many is everyone. Everyone flags everybody. That’s how it works in order to keep it working.

In the same time, what would one expect? There is absolutely no motivation to do effort to post anything when all you can do it to lurk the forum and enjoy the content other people make. The active posters volume is and will certainly be extremely low compared to overall viewers who just come to read/watch. Even making reaction - is an effort with no true value to one, who just enjoys watching. As with the majority of the subscribers at VHTV who we never hear from, unless something is not working for them and they report to Support. But the funny thing the majority still doesn’t report anything whenever we have problems and they just… wait for it to be resolved, which we do in the shortest time possible.

This is how communities work. If somebody is too soft to handle communication properly, or someone who cannot handle themselves to remain civil & kind, this is certainly not place for them. We will always provide an opportunity to just watch/read and never comment for everyone.

A few may have been, but only because that ones were inconvenient to some on higher fields. The ones that cause more damages are still around

the thumbs down icon should be removed and if someone doesnt like a comment they can always type a comment as to why or simply scroll on to next comment

If u remove thumbs down option like facepalm…. then viewers will start doing more comments and if they comment then u know our authorities know how to use their power very well…. and comment will get completely vanish….

personally i think we are failing as a community in helping each other and encouraging involvement . this forum seems to thrive on negativity , someone says something wrong and all hell breaks loose .

Thank you for the informative reply and for the ratio of flagged posts. Would it be possible to publish on a monthly basis those stats in the sidebar like the leader board figures?

It’s not on “something wrong” it’s on who says it (from quick memory and just as one example that guy that likes Trisha is completely humiliated, attacked, criticized and do bad jokes even because grammar (when there isn’t a single clue on his background), making fun of him all the time and sometimes seems it’s just because he’s still breathing)

Yea… but why rules different for everyone….
I saw many times when viewers wrote normal bad words which is not even that abusive their comments get flagged and deleted while some use abusive words… their comments are still here… don’t u think it’s bit strange and misusing of powers….

It’s more like u worship me I ll grant u more power to run and do whatever u want to do

i defended him/her as well as joked with him /her but some people dont understand my humour , maybe im a thick skinned old english man with the wit that comes from being a proud and robust englishman :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: like @VHTV_James said a backbone is need

That is just a conspiracy theory and the stats VHTV posted have already proven you wrong.

When I was new here a while back, the support crew has always been helpful and nice to me. Even with a little bit silly and “dumb” questions for newbies they still answered with no problem. Things are a little bit different now because I am more experienced in helping myself in here. But overall nothing to complain about for me. :fire: :hugs:

Why? For you and several numbers nerds like us? There is no automation, I’ve made my SQL query to DB to see what’s going on and check Tory’s statement. I have no enough motivation to do it on regular basis. Would you like to subscribe to my private newsletter, though?:thinking:

I understand what you’re talking about and it certainly bothers me too. But moderation is human thing now and it will vary from one moderator to another in response to different words, styling, tone and other stuff. It is very subjective. Unless we move to fully AI moderation (I believe it can be achieved soon, but am not a big fan of this idea for our community), the moderation will be as streamline as possible, and everybody will be even. Of course, there will be certain bias based on the training data, and other complications, but it will be as justified and even to everyone as possible. And you know what? You will hate it too. And you will hate it the most as the system will punish you and many others much worse then our human team does. Because we can understand natural frustration and work around it. Machines won’t bother because it’s not cost efficient for them compared to just ban the user.

In the same time, you got treated fairly for the past years, because of your aggressive push of your own agenda, which is based on theories which never held up. You’re always saying there’s certain group of users holding the power and shaping the VHTV, while VHTV is not influenced by user’s discussions, but is influenced by paid subscribers interest within Voyeur-House.TV only. In the same time, I am quite certain you are in a group of several people (less than 10 by my estimates) who purposely pick out certain (and not always the same) people in the forum and just… troll them. What comes around comes back around. Don’t blame the project because of how you or anybody else is treated. Always think of your actions and as soon as you stop diving into other people heads, the world will become much more pleasant place for you to be. Maybe it will be less fun to you, but it’s no fun to us to observe bullying and trolling. Everything has it’s limits. :v:t3:

I understood what u r trying to explain me here…. U are also right machines don’t have human’s feelings  So no problem and also u stated word ‘influence’ hope u r also right about it…

N wish soon u also come with solutions so there will be no more chaos… and there will be no misuse of powers… with great power comes great responsibilities but if that power goes in wrong hand u also know what can happen :yum::sweat_smile:

What punishment will occur by the system? Will users be banned?

Daar ben ik volledig mee eens

This is theory. Based on what is possible to achieve now or tomorrow already. The system may/will do as we instruct it to do. Warn, warn again, silence, suspend. Just like we do it now by hands. But it will make the same decisions without user bias if there’s any now.

In the same post I said I’m not a big fan of this theory. We’re employing power of AI already to estimate toxicity of each post and get flags from the system too. Btw, there are no AI flags count included in the stats I’ve shared couple of posts above. There are only human-to-human reports.

Ok thanks.
