itâs very easy to make it 50 seconds (10x the moment) with a third or less of the filesize of the 5 second GIF. and even more interesting with audio. 
and when 10 times is not enoughâŚthere is the âenless loopâ of the stream-player that one can use.
I tend to agree with Julioâs. With a 5- or 10-second GIF, you capture exactly the crucial scene. The seconds before and after are usually uninteresting and just drag out the video, whereas the crucial 5 seconds pass so quickly that you might not even notice.
And why watch a 50-second video on a loop?
Regarding the sound, it would be pointless for a 5-second video, especially if it were to be played on a loop. I seriously prefer a GIF.

when the same 5 second scene 10 times (=50 sec) is not enough

I also think GIF is more of a âmoving photoâ and video is a whole little story with plot and so on

Testing another format. Do you guys see this animation? This is a webp file. It is tiny by comparison.
@Celestino230782 this seems to be working great, if Shotcut can export this, Filmora should do so, too. In Shotcut I have to activate the loop function in the advanced export settings.

If I may I weigh in here, I agree with Julio, Mohrchi and kaya. As far as I can see, a video and a GIF are two different things. A GIF is just capturing a short moment with only one thing happening, a âmoving pictureâ as kaya puts it, while a video captures what we can call a âlonger momentâ, or scene, where thereâs more going on. I think thereâs room for both these formats here on the forum.

When will the next wave of people be coming through? This plantation is rife with a specific group of people regurgitating. Imagine, 50+ realms, and I donât have one favourite for the first time in 7 years.
Iâm affraid that, until all that plantation of scamming clones apartments, having nothing to do with real life, wonât be totally eliminated from this site, together with their managers, things will only get worse and worse. New people wonât come and stay exactly because of them and the very low level circus, pure webcamming, Telegram Channel spamming theyâre creating.

If the overall displaying assortment for example gradually more or less goes over to only showing web cam material. Then I am really not so sure about for how long I will be staying here if that will be the case. I suppose I just have to wait and see what I will do.
