I have some times some small access trouble regarding the entrance of the main forum site. A problem that pops up from time to time. I think the error message says no contact with server. And then suddenly it figures out that it is going to correct itself back to normal. Then it works out normally again. ![]()

It is very simple. Plug it in. Or pull it out.

The site isnât running smoothly for me at the moment. There are still a lot of reloads and delays.
I would say that the drive is still stuttering and not running smoothly.![]()
Shouldnât all the routers in the apartments be restarted as well? Just asking as a layman.
The timeline is a story in itself. It jumps around a lot. But I donât use it very often.
The routers in the apartments have nothing to do with that at all.
How many times have I seen that correction message? The number is countless. ![]()
Signing in no longer working as well
You are not wrong! I remember a few years back they had similar issues, and it wasnât until the forum members started to drown support with messages that they decided to get something done about it, it took a few hours to sort several issues that had been plaguing the site for days. Many members threatened cancelling and if memory serves quite a few made good on their threats. It just proves there is strength enough if all members pull together. Now VHTV are blaming the outages in Europe, so VHTV are essentially saying that they do not have servers to fall back on, thatâs not a good business plan really, in part what they are saying is they have all their eggs in one basket and if something goes wrong, we suffer, not them as we have already paid up front. They also do not give goodwill gifts like tokens or days to apologise for their site issues, as we learnt when they had their prior issue lasting for days, they didnât even have the common courtesy to apologise for the days we had lost, let alone throw a few days or tokens for free as a good will gesture.
I understand youâre disappointed, but please donât twist my words. I was very clear in pointing out that we use different hosting providers.
We have no issue rewarding and complimenting our valued users - but usually this happens when communication is constructive
I have just managed to login but it is still buffering really badly and from the Mexican apartments too
Are there apartments I do not know about? There are no Apartments in Mexico for sure.
At that time the large majority of the communication was very constructive, with many members fault finding for VHTV, but once people realised that VHTV were doing very little as the members were doing it all, we started to get frustrated, just like we are now as VHTV are again blaming someone else. I didnât twist your words I simply alluded to the fact that even though you have several host providers, they all seem to be using the same/similar platforms..
It is not so easy nowadays. Even as kaya said they use different hosters you most likely will be always dependent on the âbig threeâ (AWS, Google Cloud, MS Azure) as other hosters often also host some infrastructure there as well.
So if one of the three is down it is very likely that many services get effected.
The only solution for that is to put physical hardware servers in the basement and host everything there. This will be very expensive and there are more risks this way (Fire, water damage, theft)
Had I only been like a grumpy old bastard I would have left this stuff a long time ago. Still staying put despite the short comings. ![]()
Ok maybe not mexican but certainly Hispanic, south America -5hrs GMT.
The location of the apartments has nothing to do with the current problems.
For now, everything is back to normal for me. Let me know how it is with you. ![]()
A lot of ooops messages but on the working cameras the buffering is better
For anyone interested, I managed to log in about 5 minutes ago. Iâm in the Azores Islands, one of my twins is in Iceland and the other in Spain. According to their information, they can also watch VHTV on free cameras.
