Norwegian is naturally very little and not very widely spread in a worldly format. It is spoken mainly in norway and according to the encyclopedia it is closely related to icelandic, danish, Faroe Icelandic and Swedish. It is also spoken by about 50.000 american norwegians within mainly Central America. It belongs to the German, Nordic and Indo european language family. If not my sources are absolutely incorrect.
