Ah. Confoundingly opposite expectations. Verh is a very uncommon name. Apparently, 1 in approximately 60 million people in a few countries. Odd that rarity is so common and so uniform across countries. Probably a made up statistic. So many fake genealogy sites out there. Bet the H is silent. Saying that it’s probably the R that is. Just to confound me further. Probably got a completely unlikely pronunciation. Like Henry is actually pronounced Harry if you say it proper. (That’s true actually, Henry = Harry).
