I used to work and was married to an American, and I always laughed my ass off, when they made fun about " the cool british accent " and couldn’t help it but had to make them remember where their language originally came from, and that the american slang is the accent.

A lot of words in the norwegian language are borrowed english words especially adapted to resemble the norwegian words as much as possible. Just a fact.
