To begin with, nobody said that this was a rushed decision.
I’m not sure what would have changed if you had known in advance that the cameras would be locked. I doubt it would have made you feel differently about the outcome.
I also don’t agree that we’ve dug our own grave. We understand that we may lose some free viewers, and we truly regret that, as we’ve always worked hard to create value for both paid and free users. Still, this is a decision we believe we can sustain.
I know this hurts many of our friends out there, and I’m sorry, as is every member of our team. Your feelings are valid. At the same time, we must make decisions that allow us to provide the best possible experience for our paid viewers and the best conditions for our participants.
No, she literally said, “we should have announced it in advance.”
For example, if I decide to ban your account today, and. ban it in six months, but don’t make any announcement before it, would that automatically make it a rushed decision? I don’t think so.
By making such a decision, you will only destroy this platform and drive away quality viewers. Not everything in life is about money; no viewer will agree with you because you chose money, disregarding the effort and friendships built. This decision and action will not benefit the platform in any way; on the contrary, it will make things worse, but by then it will be too late.
I will say what no-one else dares to say ,Freeviewers have been carried for to long after all it is a subscription based website ,The forum should be enough to give enough indicators if its worth subscribing, NOW i KNOW i have pissed off quite a few forum members now , which means ive succceeded in what i intended to do , now i will just pop off to my rocking chair with a glass o whiskey with a smug old smile on my face
But it’s the free viewers as you call it, helps keep the site up & running. Because it creates internet traffic. And some free viewers might then sign up to the full experience.
Until I hit financial difficulties. I was a fully paid up subscriber to the site.
