Yikes. Well your honesty is appreciated at least. Hopefully it’s not a permanent ban, especially for the pair who simply liked the post. I’m certainly on your side when it comes to my view of Ukraine, but silencing voices who you don’t agree with and ruling with an iron fist feels awful Trumpian, and I can’t imagine that’s a comparison you’re seeking out, but what do I know lol?

Yeah, I had no idea geopolitics was such a minefield on this forum, depending solely on the leanings of those in charge. I suppose that’s because I’ve mostly avoided political speech and kept it about the participants, which I’m seeing now is clearly the safest thing to do from here on out.

In case you did not notice - This was nothing about simply geopolitics. This was supporting the narrative of the Russian propaganda that the war is not bad for civilians and they are not effected by it. The poster deliberately turned photos used in a news article from 2023 describing exactly how bad the war is for civilans while they still try to maintain a certain kind of normality and still visit concerts, discos and parties, into his own sick narrative.
About the guy who liked the post: Either he agreed with the post and the ban is justified or he just likes everything here without using his brain. In that case he deliberately takes the risk to get banned by accidently liking a post like that. Ban justified again.
No. As long as you do not fuel any Russian propaganda or other sick narratives there won’t be any problems here. I speak about politics for years and I did not get banned.

- It is quite concerning to compare sick Russian propaganda narrative to a displayed Israeli flag. You might be walking on thin ice here.
- I used this flag to express my solidarity with the victims who died by Hamas in the attack in October. What is wrong with that?

Since I’m a free speech absolutist, I would say nothing is wrong with that. I am curious though, purely as a thought experiment, what would be the reaction to someone who posts a Palestinian flag or expresses solidarity with the dead in Lebanon? Is American disinformation and propaganda also an instant ban? Because as an American myself I can tell you there is a LOT of it out there these days. I think it’s fair for everyone to know where the boundaries are, and the forum rules don’t exactly spell out which nations we are allowed to support or not.
That would make no sense at all as you wrote we talk about Lebanon and the people there are Lebanese and not Palestinians.
If you mean that Trump alternative truth shit he posts which partly support some of the Russian narrative - I really hope so.
I think that is not needed at all. As basically nobody here ever had any problems with that - Common sense should be more than enough.
I think it’s pretty evident as I wrote it that these were two separate examples, but since neither nations are Russia I’m going to assume it’s hunky dory for folks to express solidarity with both the Palestinian and Lebanese people

Currently as we stand we have at least 4 parties going on across the spectrum of all the apartments with zero activity in all of them. Just what exactly are we paying for alongside the other ones who are doing private cam shows. Dull as dishwater is the current state of play.
