that was super interesting and hot, all three of them deserve credits, maybe even their own place.
but it is very fucked up all the fails of vhtv new version @VHTV_CEO after so many months things are not working, maybe bring the old versiob back? cause i’m sick and tired of watchings errors and ips issues.
It’s very mysterious that the apartment went “offline” with some nudity, and returned with everything covered up, I’ll leave it at that.
(For that, it’s better not to come)
I have been a VHTV subscriber for a few years, but I have to say that they are the only ones with all these problems. On other platforms, not to name names, I have NEVER seen such frequent disconnections.
If I try to remember the last disconnection of other platforms or a problem with cams, I can’t even remember it, since so much time has passed.
Can you explain to me how this is possible?
The tenants, for these problems, seem very left alone…
actually there have been many other times when the cameras didn’t work in moments that could be memorable (I can think of the first time of Cinderella, or others) but I think it’s still a coincidence that they don’t work in these moments. Simply, since there are many times that a camera doesn’t work, it’s easy for it to happen in an interesting moment…
I started counting the cameras that aren’t working right now, there are 13!!
Then there are four that aren’t synchronized with each other…
It looks like the cameras stream directly to servers … Any SD cards in the cameras may be good for internal security reasons, but are of little use for streaming …
It would be possible to manually replace/record footage in the event of an offense. But VHTV doesn’t even notice many things.
We also don’t know how many people work there full-time in the background.
100% of the apartments are outsourced to managers (VHTV calls them franchisees).
Regarding backup, there used to be rumors that this was also mandatory there, but I think very few apartments (I even assume none) have this.
If you’ve seen the routers and switches, a lot of the apartments here are built with cheap technology.
By the way, the German router manufacturer mentioned is also a device that is not a business router for me.
No , quiet, it was not a direct criticism of you, but it was an outlet referring to VHTV for the management of the problem, and bad luck wants, that the same problem happened in another apartment, to the same people who were present there from you . Probably just an unfortunate case for them
For streaming you can still make a backup on the card and then “resume” it when the connection returns: cameras like mine (imou, just to not name names… - 60 euro cameras) allow streaming on the Imou server and at the same time the copy on the card. There are cameras from other brands that are less protected by the manufacturer, that you can program with firmware, or already prepared, that send the continuous flow to external servers and then keep a copy locally on SD. The technologies are there,
For the router, in the office I have ubiquiti but at home I have fritz and I can’t say anything bad about the two… but I’m sure that other brands would also be valid. In my opinion a big problem is the cables, because they get tangled, eaten by animals, dragged or loosened… with wifi (from a non-cheap access point, there wouldn’t be a problem. Today wifi can easily handle the traffic required in apartments. At most, just add mesh access points around the house.
