I am having problems with the streams from time to time as well. This afternoon even the forum was slower than usual, which happened for the first time. I have a 100mbit connection, which should theoretically be enough. While it may be true, that ISPs priorize several things in their network i can’t believe, that there is so little left for the rest, that a site like VHTV doesn’t work properly. I do not experience any problems with any other sites, it’s just this site, that is slow. Support told me, that my connection speed is too slow and they can’t do anything for me. I can’t proof if they are wrong or right, so i am not saying, they are wrong, but i somehow don’t fully believe, that the problem is just on my side.
Well when everybody else does not have any problems the problem is on your side…
Я согласен, что здесь есть некоторые проблемы с просмотром видео. Если скорость не очень быстрая, то можно столкнуться когда скрипт отсылает бесконечную череду запросов и из-за этого виснет браузер и интернет-соединение.
well, apparently i am not the only one who has problems with the site as can be seen by some of the threads here. And, i do not exclude, that the problem is on my side. To me it is just a bit strange, that i only have problems with this site here.
I often read the speeds that other members have and am just gob smacked as i only get around 35.Mbs here.
Having said that it does everything i want it to do and does it well, streaming,TV catch up etc etc. so one has to ask if these very high speeds are really neccessary for 95% of users.
Any problems i get are nearly always the fault at the other end as has often been shown with VHTV.
Again having said that the UK is, i must admit, way behind most of Europe with regard to internet speeds as much of it has to do with the infrastructure of the country.
Some city’s do have these sort of speeds now but for the majority, especially. if you are fairly rural like myself, 30 to 100 is generally the norm. But it works just fine for what i require so what more can you ask if it works.
Well when your provider priorizes all content equally it should be no problem with only 35 Mbits to watch as you say. Priorizing content what many providers do is the problem nowadays.
Sure you mostly don’t need that (I stopped caring about speed years ago when it got over 2Mb) but it’s also about what is available. Here I can’t have your 35Mb even if I wanted to. 150Mb is minimum. Or I can get 500Mb for 5% price increase. Why wouldn’t I take that? It’s triple the speed and all I have to do is have one ■■■■ monthly less. And I don’t think my country is on top of things regarding internet services.
Yep and I pay same for 1Gbit as I would pay for 400 Mbit. So why not take it?
Where are you Alli if you don’t mind me asking.
Jab’s neighbor, Czech republic.
The reason I want 1Gps is why not, the faster the better although I will probably have to pay a bit more. Currently 400Mbps is sufficient but hey I like speed.
It’s almost like you’re compensating something
I would send you a photo to show that is not the case but your internet speed could not handle such a big file.
Size of the file or the head
We can tell what is it tablet or liquid form
Why not both?
For your average household that is more than enough. Unless everyone was streaming and gaming all at the same time then your speed is fine. Mine is only about 2MB/s but there is only me, and it’s fine for me. I could get fibre broadband but I’m a tightarse
Delete, just noticed that joke has been used already lol
I am in total shock. Here I thought I was doing well with 40Mb/s, which when converted from what I pay in ZAR is equivalent to 2900 Rubles. We really get screwed in this miserable wannabe 3rd world country.
