In hindsight this is definitely the worst idea ever, just trying to get people doing the dirty work for free.

You’re waaaaaaaay too late. When they won some kind of championship some weeks back (when I posted the comment), Google had fireworks shooting off all over the page. It was quite cool and beautiful. Looked just like a real fireworks finale show in miniature. They were popping all over the screen.
