I’m south west and all snow gone following yesterdays rain storms.bright today but no sunshine.
We never have much snow these days and what does come our way never lasts long.
Times have greatly changed over the years, , when i was young South Somerest was one of the worst areas for snow.
In our side road my car would often vanish under it all it was that deep, these days we get naff all really.

They don’t know what snow is these days ,you like me must remember 6 to 10 feet drifts ,and we still went to work ,no working from home

.Quite agree we always had similar snow drifts every year and used to last for weeks on end.
The current crop of snowflakes know nothing, they go into meltdown with a few flakes falling.
Yep we always managed to get into work whatever the conditions.
One main road straight, near us, on my work route was always reduced to single lane with a wall of snow either side of 6-10 foot high as you say.
No one thought much of it we just got on with it without any of this moaning and panic station reactions.

In those days I was a postman they sent you out whatever the weather, these days an inch of snow they keep them in the sorting office due to health and safety

Yeah and everyone then wonders why the country is going down the pan.
The youngsters used to love it, all out with their sledges etc etc.
Yes it was an inconvenience but what the hell, it was winter and everyone expected it.
As you say people these days know nothing and all want being spoonfed, makes me mad really.

Anyway I’ve had my moan I’m off to the chippy for my fish and chips
I’ve just been thinking that the girls need a camera looking down the garden path ,either one outside or one looking out of a window ,more for security than anything🏠
