If so, that is the infrared light that is emitted by each camera to illuminate the scene when the regular room lights are turned off.
In the dark, the cameras switch to night mode or night vision mode, so it can see in the dark. Consequently, each camera will pick up the IR light being emitted by the other cameras. It happens with every camera in every apartment when they switch to night vision mode.
The cameras there are different than the ones used in all the other places. They do not have an IR light emitter and that is why the nightvision cam quality is s__tty. I did a ticket weeks ago and it was said the cams will get changed in that realm. Maybe @kaya can give us a status update here?
Looks strange. Almost like the IR light is on back of the camera…
Fact is manager admitted these cams are inferior to the ones used in the other places and they will get replaced. I just do not know the status. That is why I tagged Kaya.
I agree with you about that technical part. Was just saying that the lights on that photo wasn’t the case being from cams but extra lights that they use There are times that the nightvision works normally but normally images gets bad when they turn the other lights (intentionally or not)
I understand what you’re saying here, too. But honestly, I don’t see any difference in the quality of these two images compared to any other night vision image from cameras in other apts.
Things seem pretty sharp. Of course, you’re not going to get good sharpness where there’s movement in low light, like when he’s moving his jacket around. The jacket looks awful. Otherwise, though, I think things look pretty good. I’ve seen way worse night vision images.
I think, but I could be wrong, that the lights are there to not activate the night vision because the brightness is above the activation threshold and if it is nevertheless activated, the low brightness produced by the bulbs disrupts the quality night vision. Afterwards, the question is whether it is voluntary or not on the part of the residents.
It’s a shame, I thought it would be a nice foursome. The quality of the camera images is really bad in the dark. It’s a shame because it’s one of the apartments that corresponds more to real life. And among the women who come and go there is probably something for every taste. I hope that the cameras will be swapped or the lighting will be changed.
