Have iMac. Use Firefox browser. Firefox has an extension âVideoDownloadHelperâ. You can record live but you can get stopped for some unknown reason so you have to watch the record indicator.
What I do is get on the timeline and find the part I want to record and note the length of it and which camera. I open a new window from the start point in the timeline and start the record on VDH (VideoDownloadHelper). I watch the time on the VDH and stop it when I have the length I want. This is a simplistic description. You have to play with VDH to see how it works. I only work from the timeline so that gives you only 24 hours to record something. I donât have a good video editor or I could record a long block of time and edit out the stuff I wanted to keep.
