I disagree. Nearly all students take low prestige jobs to help finance their education. For some, especially women, that means sex work. It makes sense to use their bodies while they are most valuable to prepare their minds to earn money when their bodies are less valuable.

Perhaps I should have said "Nearly all AMERICAN students take low prestige jobs … ". That was certainly my experience but I am aware that not all countries do things the way we do them in this one.

I do understand what you mean and it’s partially correct. But from taking a low paid job to exposing your sexual life (whatever it is) on cams and further on the whole internet (for the rest of your life), there is a seriously big difference ( IMO)

From a practical standpoint there is certainly a very big difference. I’m sure @Marianthi has to consider whether or not she will face discrimination based on her participation in this project when she starts applying for employment in the job market she actually wants to join. That is a matter of fact not opinion. Cultural attitudes are what they are and they change slowly if at all. IMO, that difference should not be there. Sex workers are in the entertainment industry and are entitled to the same respect as other members of the entertainment industry (IMO) If a barmaid (AOC) can become an American Congressperson there is no reason a sex worker cannot become a designer.

In theory, you are correct. In practice, nothing from what you stated there, does apply here. What if being a barmaid is more financially rewarding than being a sex worker ?
