because there is the only closet in that apartment beside that ones in the kitchen.
This is effective and saves steps.
But given the number of steps she normally takes when she is walking around in the apt. that might not really be the reason.

She currently leads a very lonely life in a sparsely furnished apartment.
I wonder how long that will remain the case. Or whether she will eventually leave her lonely camp.
