Look, Amy, if even the people you talk about are being paid for anything related to their activity, it’s not our cup of tea on where these money come from and what are their relations to management of the apartment. What we do is share revenue with apartments and it’s up to them on how to reward participants. We always advise on keeping the concept of revenue sharing, yet I know there were examples of managers running fixed fee relations. Don’t know if it worked out well, I don’t think it did and those managers might have switched back to rev share, just because it works better.
As for anything you mention being unfair to other participants, even if that is true (I don’t know and am not going to learn about it to either confirm or deny such claims), anything that brings attention of potential subscriber to their favor, turns better for everyone else. One subscriber, signing up, watching the apartment they like, will watch other apartments, sharing their subscription with those who they are intersted in.
