Shrimps / prawns…again different names depending upon where you are in the world. We would tend to call them prawns over here in the UK. Mind you, I think the size of them might have something to do with naming them as well.

I really don’t want to start a debate, but shrimps and prawns are two very different crustaceans, no matter where in the world. There are many differences, from where they live, the body form, number of legs, size, how they reproduce, etc.

I am quite aware of all of those things. I was simply talking about them from a culinary point of view. Not that you would EVER find me eating them though, just for the record!
