I think Medea has resigned herself to the fact that Ben always acts the prat around other girls. 
Aren’t charities like Salvation Army which gives free clothes to the needy not present in Russia ? Medea could have got some help from that. She must be bored covering herself with bedsheets, towels, blankets.
