Actually I use both terms, separating by act itself. If there is passion, tenderness, commitment to the act, I usually use love making term.

My mum taught me to say love-making as it’s more genteel and ‘nicer’. I was quite shocked the first time I heard people talking about fucking. Very quickly learned that there’s a wide gulf between the two.

I tend to chop and change what I say. While I generally say fucking, I sometimes use, banging or screwing or rooting, it often depends on the people I am mixing with at the time. Different age groups tend to use different words to say the same thing.
