Itās not a literal passport like us in North America, in Russia, the term passport, probably means Identification card, in this case

It is just another possibility that they need it to show at toll plaza if they have some other nationality. And this rule is valid in most part of Europe not sure about north America
In North America, you need a passport if you go from Canada or the US, to any country
every body free to have their own kind of entertainment. Donāt get bored just throw some discussion what you like to discuss. many does here same way
