She reminds me of Miss Gulch from The Wizard of Oz. Maybe nobody else saw her screaming at Igor this morning. I mean literally screaming. Then she flipped a bowl of hot noodles and a hot cup of coffee onto him. He though took it all in good grace. Calmly cleaned up the mess and took all her verbal. It’s just a figure of speech. I’ve never raised a finger to anybody in my life. Where I come from the expression implies that I would not take it calmly or with the good grace that Igor did. But honestly, I’m fairly evenly matched with most woman physically, if a women struck me or threw boiling hot coffee over me deliberately, then she’d probably get a jab in the tit. Hurt me and I’ll hurt you back. (I’m reliably informed that a jab in the tit really smarts). I am by nature a placid person. a mugful of scalding hot coffee in my groin would evoke a swift and succinct response. Just the same as somebody jumping out at me would would get a very short reply.
