On a previous holiday, we stayed on the 16th floor. I can’t quite describe how terrifying that experience was. I went out on the balcony once to smoke and that was enough… Not to mention that the elevator was all glass (yes, and the bottom) and outside the building…
So you had to deal with 14 flights of stairs then, I suppose?
That would be no good for me and my wheelchair. Thank goodness I live in a ground floor flat with no need to use the lift (which like yours, doesn’t always work).
My cousin is the same. She told me that if we were to ever go to London to The Shard (the tallest building in Western Europe), she’d stay at the bottom, whilst I go up alone!
