Seens they do not see running the hose under or behind the car is the faster way… Well Americans…

Well we here in Germany go the faster way and route hose the quickest and most efficient way…
They can if necessary. But they won’t in these cases as it is not the fastest way to do.
The big majortiy of hydrants in Germany are hidden below the floor. So you do not see them at all as a driver of a car…
Unless the car is an SUV or other vehicle with a lot of hight from the ground, it is clearly the fastest way to do it. Imagine trying to run the hose under a sport car. Plus that the cars are normally parked as close as possible next to the curb, so even less space left
Talking about a normal car. It will take less than a second to do that.
I assume that there are markings making people aware of their presence there
Not really. It is forbidden to park in front of the ones they have in America but there are no markings visible for car drivers. And you can’t see them as they might be hidden under leaves or things like that…
Firemen of course know where they are

Sure. There is not reason to place them so close to the street so they can be blocked by cars like the Americans do
