How about a simple consideration that he might not actually WANT to get involved as an additional 3rd part of the current 2 couplings, even if he had been allowed to.

In relation to that last sentence, I wonder if, where Kevin is concerned, that could be reversible. I say that, with his previous times with Karina, in mind. Simply, that he may prefer someone around her age (I mean that respectfully towards her, not knowing what it is).
That’s a very pleasant focal point on the right hand side…and I am not talking about the cupboard door!
