Now this is something. I used to play guitar. I play piano now and have a degree in music with a focus on classical composition.

Now sure how versed she is with rock but I’d say the easiest songs to start learning is anything by Green Day, before the American Idiot days. Their songs are so basic sometimes it still makes me laugh.

It depends on how they choose to study. When I was learning guitar, I studied through tablature. But when I learned how to play piano it was through more classical training. But I had an interest in classical style music so it wasn’t a problem. Plus I don’t think it is avoidable since piano utilizes the same structure today as it was during the 1800’s.

That song is before my time as I learned how to play through 90’s and early 00’s music but from what I remember, when that song came out it was so overplayed and requested that it became incredibly annoying to hear. Nowadays I think it’s more of a running joke.
