Europeans 2024

Well, England is not at all an underdog. They didn’t played very well in the Groups stage, but from now on will be a totally different tournament. I can only see Netherlands being able to count on that side. Italy is nowhere near the Team from 2021.

On the other side, it is impossible to pick a clear favourite. Any of the 4 big names can win the tournament.

I still bet on France, but if they won’t, then maybe Portugal

Holland and Germany have always been my Favorite Teams But I think now Germany like a host country, Italy always play better from 16 onwards & I think Austria can be the surprise one

A very good analysis of the knock out stage John.

of course I hope we make it to the final…but so far our game has not been so strong…

Just wait and see. Back in 1994 Italy literally crotched themselves through to the last 16 from the initial Group Stage. And still moved themselves into the final. Where they lost 3-2 on penalties against Brazil. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :hugs:

for now I don’t like the way they play little action few shots on goal we won against albania we lost against spain and we drew in the second half recovery minutes against croatia…

When I think of Brazil, I immediately think of the 2014 World Cup semi-final, when Germany won 7-1 against Brazil. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I remember crystal clear that a norwegian reporter said something like this right after the semi final between Germany and Brazil was finished: Never ever before have the expression only one team on the pitch fitted better to describe a match perfectly. Absolutely true. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :hugs:

The german players even mutually agreed to literally put the brakes on in the brake between the two halves not to humiliate the Brazilians even more than they already had done. Also absolutely true. :hugs: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

any one of the teams on the easy side of the draw can make it all the way to the final and then it all depends on how the big 3 in the other half perform france ,germany or spain all are capable of having an off day and those games are going to be very close one goal could win the match , i dont see many high scoring games from now on max will be 2-0 2-1 , what i can say is these euros are going to be remembererd for the lack off on field pasion by all the teams left in the comp , this could be another 1992 where theres a shock winner of the trophy , but hey im 73 years old seen so many football comps but what do i know , but will be saving 4 words ready to be posted on 17/7/24 and those words are

Doing that, hand out a one year subscription to X amount of people, would be considerably expensive. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

What if Georgia knocks out Spain…  :fire: :fire:

thats not an impossibility , spain will have difficulty with goergias style of play , i think they can frustrate spain into a stale game , and nick it on penalties

You saw Georgia against Portugal… Very good illustrative example… They frustrated Ronaldo like what ever to not get ugly… And I dont appreciate Ronaldos style when he is playing on the pitch, but that is another story… :fire: :fire:
