she should slowly give up smoking … I agree with you there

A good friend of mine didn’t notice (or, as I sometimes suspect, actively suppressed) that she was pregnant and continued to smoke and _____ as usual. no joke: she went to the hospital with a stomach ache and came home with a son. I didn’t understand that and I’m still wondering how she could have missed it. But I hadn’t seen her for a few months and therefore couldn’t get a picture of that time
Her son is 1-2 years behind c___dren of the same age in development and has to go to a special school…
…and he was lucky because it could have been a lot worse, I suspect…

I’d say within the next minute would be best. No pregnant woman should ever be smoking…or _____ing, either.

Women who smoke have more difficulty becoming pregnant and have a higher risk of never becoming pregnant.

Smoking during pregnancy can cause tissue damage in the unborn baby, particularly in the lungs and brain, and some studies suggest a link between maternal smoking and cleft lip.

Smoking is still viewed differently by society in different countries.

Let’s take Germany, 10-15 years ago people smoked indoors, regardless of whether non-smokers were there. Whether it was a restaurant or a disco. Today it is forbidden …

The USA was quicker here than Germany with the laws.

The effects on others were also suppressed/ignored more in the past …

Thankfully here in the UK, smoking in indoor public places is no longer allowed either, especially in food related places (but plenty of others as well).

As I said, there were discussions in Germany that if you were no longer allowed to smoke in restaurants or bars, they would all die …

Now it’s normal … in bars there are smoking rooms or extra smoking bars …

Many bars have even abolished smoking rooms due to a lack of demand …

You’re referring to people smoking in general and in public places. Jon and I were referring to pregnant women smoking. I’m sure there’s an entirely different view concerning that subject, especially from the medical profession in most developed countries.

I’m afraid that depending on the lobby, the issue is also different for pregnant women …

As I also come from a family of doctors, I agree with you that from a medical point of view 99.x% of doctors will agree with you …

VHTV et peut responsable de laissez sur leur site de voyeur , une jeune fille de 20 ans enceinte et fumeuse.

Pregnant is not a crime … She is over 18 so everything is OK …

There are already concerns about smoking, but she is of legal age and therefore responsible for herself …

The c___d’s f____r may be able to say something to her … but I don’t think anyone else can …

Quite right to say that Max, although her Doctor should be able to give Queen some advice on her pregnancy as well.

Of course, being pregnant is not a crime!! No one said it was. I don’t understand why you would even say something like that.

And, of course, she’s an adult, but that doesn’t mean that everything is OK. Not by a long shot. Being such a young adult, maybe she’s not aware of the dangers of smoking and _____ing while pregnant.

And everyone needs help from time to time, no matter who they are. No one ever knows everything and that’s especially true the younger you are.

I’m shocked by some of the things you’ve said here, Max. It sounds as if you don’t care enough to alert her to the dangers she’s facing by smoking at this point in her life. Just leave her to her own devices, even if she doesn’t know the harm she’s causing.

You even have doctors in your family, which makes it even more surprising, some of the things you’ve said here. I’d have thought you’d be leading the cause. Instead, you say, she’s an adult, leave her alone.
