That could prove rather useful and might be a post well worth book marking on here, for future reference. Thank you for taking the time to create it and providing the information therein.
Youâre welcome. I use them all the time. I even bookmarked it myself.
Tired Serval. Sheâs now with us. I thought i share if you like this.We donât think Serval cats should be in homes. Sheâs a wild animal but when we see cats like her in cages from 3 by 3 pure for breeding and money that hurts. Only 2 days and sheâs like this with us as total strangers. We can walk outside with her on a leash just like with a dog. She likes that. We will also pick up her sister next week. They will have a nice home.
Such a beautiful creature.
Could you possibly get anymore adorable?!!
It kind of begs the question, for me at least, as to what the man (I assume itâs a man) was or wasnât wearing!
*Coughs politely and innocently, then focusses back on the cat in the picture *
Even though it may disappoint you, hereâs the answer to that question. To stick to the topic, itâs a lovely cat, looking comfortable there on top of the fridge
Ah well of course, in the original picture it wasnât made obvious as to where that scene was from. I certainly hadnât thought of it as being from one of the project cameras, as indeed it now turns out to be.
Thank you for making it apparent.
I just like to share something with you thatâs been bothering me all day. Today i was at the Vet with our two Servals in Germany and he told me about a situation that really annoys me. In the Netherlands it is since the begin of this month not allowed anymore to have Serval cats as pets. Although we have two i think thatâs good a thing. They are wild cats and canât be treated as normal cats. In Germany you have rules for keeping them like a big backyard and a pond or pool. We have that and although we find it beautiful animals we also will take care of more of them because they will get enough place with us. Iâm building a larger enclosure at the moment with climbing options, toys to play etc.
Whatâs happening now that breeders who have them for just earning money are dumping these beautiful animals because they canât sell hem that easy anymore. They sell them for 1500 euroâs instead of 5000. Foreigners will go there too now if they find out.
They get owners who donât know how to treat them. It can take weeks before a Serval will accept you. You slowly have to build a bond with them. The story of today is that someone bought a Serval and he attacked her. It escaped and the new owner is now scared of him and mostly likely donât want him anymore.
Now they donât know what to do with it. Itâs a shame that this happens.
I just wanted to post it here because it frustrates me a lot.
For who is interested. Yesterday the Serval has been saved from Euthanasia.
Which part of the world is this from, are we allowed to know?
Ooops, I completely overlooked that and now I feel rather foolish.
Thank you for pointing it out.
Iâm fairly certain that the restriction you refer to only applies to the topics of the participants.
I couldnât possibly confirm OR DENY such a thing!!!
Yes, it wasnât actually a VHTV based reference I was making at the time though.
Plus the fact, that I now know that slightly more careful observation on my part, would have given me the answer anyway.
