What the cat is doing, laying out flat like that, is called planking, and 7 out of 10 cats do it.

M&M’s style bunk beds…

I wonder what the greatest ‘height stack’ for human bunk beds is. I know we usually see 2 of them at a time but I wonder if anyone has ever tried to create (and successfully use) more.

I was in the Royal Navy and there were some messes with 4 tier bunks. I usually slept on the top bunk of a 3 tier (not dissimilar to the picture with pipes running every which way!). It was interesting getting to bed when I’d been out on the ______… :beers: :beers: :beers:

Good grief, that top one looks dangerous, especially under the conditions you describe of having “been out on the ______”!!! I can imagine there having been quite a few near misses and maybe a few non misses.

I’ve never seen more than two, so I don’t know. Type it into Google and see what you get.

You don’t know the half of it. I once woke up (having been on a run ashore in Naples, Italy) clutching the below 0.5m high statue of Neptune which is very heavy. I have no idea to this day if I bought it or stole it, never mind how I got into my bunk with it!!

There are not many men who can claim to have shared a bed with the Roman God of the sea. That’s quite an achievement!

OK so to bring this back on topic, I wonder if Neptune ever owned a cat.
