Love the VHTV cats. Thanks for posting them. Since the participants already have their own topics, and this is the topic for cats, could you please also post the catsâ names? Thanks a lot.
You are fast.
Yes I can (and did so, just before I noticed Johnâs red circle around it in the picture). Amazing camouflage, thatâs for sure!
I didnât find it because I thought snow leopards are white - like snow hares or snow owlsâŚ
Donât be embarrassed. Many donât know.
Snow leopards are masters of camouflage. Their spotted coats turn off-white in winter to match the snow. In summer the fur changes to a yellowish gray so the cats can blend in almost completely with the surrounding mountains and blooming plants.
Well yes they certainly can be a lot paler in colour than the example of the picture in which we were challenged to find that particular Snow Leopard.
Maybe itâs a snow leopard who needs a wash to be white again
That is a lovely picture!
Dirty Snow Leopard!!!
I know some animals love rolling around in mud, before taking the time to get nice and clean again. Apparently it can help prevent sunburn (yes seriously - especially on surfaces such as elephant or hippo skin) and fight against parasites.
