Discussion about Russian invasion of Ukraine

Russians what they think about Putin’s war

Hopefully, in time these Russians will live with the guilt of being blind to the truth and ignorant to all the lies that their country fed them!!!

I just saw news about Putin and the president of Belarus talking about a ferry. I think maybe he has agreed for them to have some of the land. Putin is also being more vocal, sounding like the conflict is almost over. He has known the entire time NATO or EU won’t do s__t. And now is sounding over confident…thoughts??

For NATO, this war is like a candy. Russia will be weakened in the war, it will be pushed back a century because of all these sanctions, and because of this war even more countries will want to join NATO as a protection, that is to say, an enlargement/expansion.

It’s too early for that. it took USA 20 years to understand that they can’t win the war in Afghanistan. Russia has only started this war a week ago. they are going to lose this war sooner or later.

Nato tied their own hands which has allowed Russia to do whatever it takes to regain control of Ukraine. Maybe big learning curve for Nato and how the free world needs to eliminate dictators and military controlled countries. Need to protect the world instead of leaving it precariously vulnerable to imploding because of one, two or three “fucked-in-the-head” individuals - ie dips__t Hitler.

Indeed because you can’t beat the will of the people. We seen that in Afghanistan and Vietnam. It could develop into another counterinsurgency conflict with gorilla warfare tactics.

I wouldn’t compare this with Afghan. Russia is overly confident. Ukrainians are strong-willed but how long can they withstand. No, I do not see Russia losing unless NATO or EU steps in.

Quand tu as un dictateur a la tête d’un pays c’est dangereux.

What goes up will come down

Make no mistake, Russia might occupy Ukraine, the question is if they can hold it or not. they can’t keep 150-200k troops there forever, it’s so costly to do that. and the west is going to continue arming the Ukrainian resistance f___es to make it as painful as possible for the Russia, add the sanctions on top of that which would cripple their economy in the long term. They are going to regret this war.

Really hitting Russia where it hurts now!

Wish i could share your optimism but they are just bombing the country into oblivion.

Read this Article from James Landale. @DarkJezza2022

I will check later. In a meeting

They have missed one synereo in that article in that if Alexander Lukashenko was disposed then Belarus would implode as he is a dictator and not a very popular one at that after rigging many elections and the people’s protests repressed, with many thousands even still to this day under arrest.

I firmly believe that Putin wouldn’t be able to control both conflicts and would lead to a rapid de-escalation of hostilities in Ukraine. But he is very careful as he knows he isn’t popular and his secret service is regularly monitored by other secret service branches, and in turn they are monitored by other groups all reporting back to him.

He never likes to photographed from the back because of his bald patch and maybe that could become a target for some brave soul with their bullet.

I think I read some where that U.S.A. is letting people a bounty on the head of Putin. They are not censoring it.

Why should they censor it? Musk, Bezos and Gates should put 100 billion in a jackpot for the person who k__ls him :smiling_imp:

Putin doesn’t care if it stretches out. He will be dead by the time it all catches up to Russia. He just wants to rule for as long as possible. Typical cold war KGB tactics.
