I read yesterday that Macron is reportedly initiating talks with China re brokering talks/ceasefire to end fighting,and while this is a noble gesture i cannot see any hope of success.It’s quite obvious to me that any deal would involve Russia keeping Crimea and the Luhansk and Donbas regions,totally unacceptable of course.The only way i can see out of this is if Russian troops are withdrawn completely which isn’t going to happen leaving Nato intervention the only other means of achieving peace and that’s probably not going to happen either.This conflict is going to drag on and on causing many unnecessary deaths on both sides.A regime change in the Kremlin would also help.

@ Dave27 Unfortunately I have this awful gut feeling this war will get a lot worse before it is over. Putin will not let go easily at all and there is a real possibility of tactical nuclear weapons being used. Many say he won’t use them because after that he will have no cards left to play but I beg to differ. If he is on the brink of losing then he has nothing else to lose. We might see it happen in a way that exonerates him placing the blame on someone else which is something he has always been good at.
The video I posted… ''NATO Chief’s First Visit To Ukraine”… shows how NATO is slowly slipping deeper into this war. I don’t think people understand just how serious this is slowly becoming. Ukraine on the other hand will eventually join NATO but not for a long time. The war has to end first and Ukraine will have to adjust itself dramatically to meet NATO’s protocol and that won’t happen overnight either. Finland is not only the newest member but it became the fastest new member ever but Finland is a very different place to Ukraine. Finland met NATO’s protocol years ago but never joined because of Russia’s rhetoric.
To say Putin made an astronomical mistake by starting this war would in itself be an astronomical understatement.
