You are welcome Pal I have also questioned this. I know figures will eventually come out for this side of the war and it seems these documents give us some information on losses. But at the same time, Jeez such a pointless war and such a total waste of human life.
We should not forget also that in war, the attacker normally incurs greater casualties than the defender. Given that Ukraine has had much success in rolling back earlier Russian incursions, the three to one ratio is all the more remarkable for Ukraine.
Couldnât agree more, the casualty rate is absolutely horrific but the devastation to Ukraine in substructure alone is frightening and will take decades to get back to normality, if it ever will.
As you say such a total waste and in all honesty what the hell for.
I do feel for the normal russian people i must admit whose losses in human life are undescribable and in the main have no idea what is going on or what for.
But the losses for the Ukranian people are undescribable both in human life and homes, absolutely such a waste, makes one want to cry floods as their country is being destroyed.
There are no words really to suitably describe this absolute tragedy,.
The upside is that NATO is now stronger than hitherto and after this episode will probably stay that way. NATO is the best path to future peace in Europe.
You say that but if there ever was a NATO vs Russia confrontation the whole world would suffer and not in a good way either.
It really is best not to think about it really as the possible outcome could make this current war seem nothing.
One can only hope they get rid of the lunatics in the Russian assylum as soon as possible but from what i have read their replacements are as bad and could even be worse.
We can only hope sense prevails on both sides if only for the sake of humanity.
Imagine if that dummy Trump wins the electionâŚHe will be kissing Putinâs ass and pulling out of Ukraine.
Didnât he quit NATO last time he was in?
If so he will do it again and the U.S.A. will stop helping Ukraine.
When you think about it Russia in run by lunatics and fanatics and America run by b___dy senile pensioners and fanatics. Doesnât hold out much of a fucking hope does it.
Russia fears NATO. Putin knows that if ever he were to request a nuclear strike and if the request was refused as I think it would be, he would be gone. We know he wants to live as he moves from bunker to bunker. I am optimistic.
i think that this war asnt reached its peak yet , theres going to be alot more politicall baraging from outside sources , USA and CHINA will be at serious loggerheads very soon and its this that will cause the peak where russia will use the distraction to make an all or nothing push for Ukerain, this is when i think the peak will hit as NATO will become involved and it will all be down to Belarus allowing Russian f___es to strike Ukerain from there lands, ,The only hope for peace in Europe is if USA and China can resolve there differences and f___e peace , lets hope and pray that NATO carries on using diplomacy as a tool , the moment NATO uses any military f___e in this conflict will be a sad bad time for all ,i strongly believe that russia is secretely designing a dirty bomb , it wont quite be a nuclar bomb but will be just as devastating and its this that Putin is believing that his new bomb will appease the NWT , but if he does i think that will be his downfall
heres something to think about , whats your opinion on there being allied f___es being on the ground in ukerain , my belief is there are many joint uk /usa special f___es already active on the ground and have been for sometime, and its because of these personell that Ukeraine have managed to thwart russias advance .
You may well be right after all if they are wearing Ukraine uniforms you wouldnât know anyway but probably have some descreet identifying marks on their person.
Having said that i think the Ukraine troops are very organised and disciplined in their own right.
If Nato ever gets militarily involved in Ukraine{which i donât think they will} it would quite simply end this illegal occupation,Russia have shown they cannot defeat Ukraine and BTW Belarus would swiftly be dealt with. Can you imagine the military power that Putin would face but as you say he may resort to semi nuclear/dirty bomb tactics but that would only mean heavier retaliation for him. What we also have to remember is the many casualties that Nato f___es would lose and just hope it doesnât come to that.
@ lazurus There is approximately 17,000 foreign fighters in Ukraine with a growing number of Belarusian fighters. There are troops form various countries outside Europe fighting there as well from as far as South America. In the latest military mind video (below) we see an increased number arriving from Germany. The West has helped Ukraine with a lot of satellite reconnaissance. As for special units beyond normal foreign volunteers⌠likely but in advising Ukrainian units what to do. Less likely they would be involved in direct front line combat themselves although we will never know that or exactly what special ops they are / have been involved in.
@ Squish yes defenders in nearly all conflicts sustain fewer casualties. I doubt Putin would use a dirty bomb let alone tactical nukes. He knows what his red lines are and how NATO would see it. If and I mean ââIFââ a tactical nuke was used we would most likely see a multi-national f___e formed (essentially NATO) for a land invasion of Ukraine to drive Russia out once and for all. You might say, but Putin sees captured land as part of Russia now. I think he would be told on no uncertain terms to think otherwise and if necessary NATO would keep a presence there until satisfied of a lasting peace.

Under the new russian digital conscription law anyone, who fails to turn up in three weeks after having been called up, would amongst other penalties, be prevented from renting property. Not good for VH.
Thanks for the further clarification of this latest development. The authorities in Russia are certainly clamping down on people who try to evade the draft.
