A very long post including the front summary for 06.01.2023

Lugansk Front: The Ukrainian Army is trying to break the Russian GLOC (Ground Line of Communication) coming from Svatove, in the area of Chervonopopivka. It is an essential element in what I believe is the preparation for the counter-offensive along the entire Svatove-Kreminna line which is likely to be in February. The battle for Kreminna continues and the Ukrainian Army is making small advances after advancing relatively quickly for more than a week.

The battle for Donbass. Siversk-Soledar line. The Ter0rist Wagner group admits through its leader Prigojin that it is almost impossible for them to advance in any part of the Donbas area (be it this line or Bakhmut). Which indicates that the Russians have reached or are approaching the culmination of the assault - that is, the maximum point in offensive capability, after which there is a decline in that capability.

The Battle for Bakhmut. Bakhmut resists. Wagner Cemetery is indeed a forbidden city. Or a fortress, as President Zelensky said. It lasts since May of last year, so not yesterday, today. It is something exceptional, heroic and will go down in the history books

Southern Front. Kherson-Zaporogie. The Ukrainian army hit another command center in Tokmak, for the second day in a row. Currently estimates are that over 20 Russian officers are dead and around 100 others are wounded. I say that here we must direct our attention, on this front, on the Zaporizhia-Tokmak-Melitopol line, especially if we will see more and more discussions on the part of Ukraine about a counter-offensive on the Lugansk Front. Why am I saying this? Because it is difficult to carry out 2 counteroffensives simultaneously (but the Ukrainians did it a few months ago with those in Kherson and Kharkiv, both crowned with success), and such a breakthrough would put more than 30,000 Russians in the south in great difficulty of the Dnieper and north of the Crimea.

Russia. Putin asked Shoigu to request a ceasefire for the Old Rite Christmas period*. Ukraine refused, officially saying that the HIMARS were on Christmas break on the 24th and 25th, and Russian soldiers should be with their families at home, not in Ukraine.

Now the great news:

  • USA. Today he will announce a huge $2.85 billion military aid package, which will include about 50 Bradley I____try Fighting Vehicles (IFVs).
  • Germany. In a joint statement with the Americans, the Germans will offer (say media sources) 40 Marder IFVs. Moreover, exceptionally, Scholz announced that Germany would also send a Patriot system to defend Ukraine’s skies against ballistic missile attacks.
  • UK. The Minister of Defense announced that in the upcoming military aid package there are chances that the UK will send tanks to Ukraine (!!!)

Why should we remember today?

Almost without exception, what the US initially announced it was sending as weaponry was shown to have sent 5-6 times as much by the end. So assuming this rule holds, over 250 Bradley IFVs will probably arrive in Ukraine in the coming weeks. Along with the French AMX-10 RC light tanks (kudos to them, as they opened the doors for NATO armor) and at least 42 Turkish Kirpi armored vehicles, the upcoming UK tanks, the 40 German Marderes, the offensive capability of Ukraine grow exceptionally.
To explain briefly: IFVs are not just “taxis” for i____try, like their Soviet variants (BMP or BTR), but they are even equipment that has exceptional firepower, they can fight with Soviet tanks (they demonstrated from the Gulf War to Afghanistan) and are exceptionally important for supporting tanks in what is called breaking through enemy defensive lines.
The Ukrainians needed such equipment as air for what they were going to do in the near future.

The announcements in the last 48 hours of the states that practically run the Ramstein Coalition under the undisputed leadership of the United States of America (which are due to meet this month - where we will again most likely see an avalanche of anti-aircraft systems for airspace protection, attack helicopters, mechanized i____try equipment and most likely tanks) indicate the impression or rather the belief that the West believes in the victory of Ukraine and wants to hasten the end of the war.

It is the beginning of the end for the Russian military. Why am I saying this? Well for example, a Bradley M2 can not only go 1v1 with a Soviet T-72, but can even take out 3-4 Soviet BTRs, which means a huge increase in the penetration ability of defensive lines of Russia.
It won’t all happen overnight, we’ll see them in action in a few weeks. With HIMARS continuing to decapitate the Russian military (by destroying command centers) and destroying ammunition depots, it will be increasingly difficult for Russia to logistically support this war, no matter how many men they throw into battle. The announcements of the last 48 hours are extremely demoralizing for the Russians, including commanders and officers, who clearly know what they will be up against, but on the other hand, they are extremely motivating for the Ukrainians, who will have physical proof that they have a chance to defeat Russia on the front in direct battle.

Why is Ukraine not respecting Russia’s Christian demand for a Christmas ceasefire?
Well maybe because on December 24th and 25th Russia hit maternity hospitals and civilian infrastructure and launched 2 waves of Iranian Shahed drones on Kyiv, Kharkiv and other major cities. They k__led civilians on Christmas. They left not Ukrainian soldiers in the dark and cold, but millions of Ukrainian civilians. The announcement was made only for the domestic, Russian public, to whom “it will be proved once again that Ukraine is a country without God”, I can put my hand in the fire that this will be Russian propaganda.
The bombing of maternity hospitals, Ukrainian hospitals, at Christmas - by the Russians - was not news in Russia. And the fact that Ukraine will not respect this ceasefire, which he said he will respect “only if Russia withdraws from the territory of Ukraine”, will probably be just a reason for announcing a new mobilization.

Slava Ukraini!

Well glorious ukraine

Actually each Marder Tank is also equipped with anti tank rockets and also the main gun is a quite impressive weapon against light armored tanks and most important fortified i____tery positions. This means a major advantage for the Ukrainians for sure. The Bradley tanks are also equipped with anti tank rockets and can kick some ass. Both tanks while not main battle tanks can take out an T-72 especially when piloted by unexperienced new mobilized people.

They should run over Medvedev, that filthy shameface!

There is definitely something going on with these people. It reminds me of Stalin removing so many people who he felt could be a threat to him. All these deaths are down to people suddenly having accidents or the sudden need to commit suicide! Really???

I’ll go with the wider consensus that these people were privy to information (and who knows what else) and Putin didn’t like it.

But the more people disappear from Putin’s environment as a result of “accidents,” the sooner he’ll end up alone and maybe he’ll shoot himself.

No doubt these oligarchs are really feeling the sanctions. Many of them are for this war because all they care about is protecting their positions / money but take that away by freezing all their assets and see what happens. They could very well be fighting among themselves.
