Personally couldn’t stand the guy, not even funny in my estimation.
I think he was like Marmite Dave. My late F____r laughed at him. I on the other hand liked the odd sketch. They went crazy for him in America though which doesn’t surprise me. Around that time I preferred The Two Ronnie’s or Morecambe and Wise.
