I completely understand that. The problem is that a huge amount of industry and the private sector is dependent on Russian, or cheap, gas.
In our country, three gas suppliers have already withdrawn from the offer, which means that thousands of households and some industries are left without, they do not know how or what, because the remaining suppliers do not want to take them on. There is talk that the state will have to intervene, but no one knows how.
It was hoped that the conflict would end as quickly as possible and that things would slowly return to normal, but such news lets them know that their business is ruined. One year is survivable, but more is not.
Well you have the chance now to get independent from Russian gasâŠ
A process Germany started way too late too. But we manage now. It got more expensive. But hey I rather pay 5 times the price than using Putins gasâŠ
The difference is that your government is much more sympathetic to the problems of the individual. Here, itâs more of a âget along as best you canâ. There are attempts to introduce some regulation, but it is all a drop in the ocean. Lots of promises, little done.
Tell me, which ones are against the war. Do viewers even have an option to know which apartments are Russian. Why is it that you always think that everybody ideas are wrong and naive? And yes I do believe that is people are f___ed to be aware or even if they are aware to actually do something about it then they might. Ignorance and bliss is no excuse. Imagine your income stops, your first question would be WHY, then maybe how about I do something about it. Those protesting the draft are putting themselves at great risk and actually doing something about it. Writing a sign or some symbol in a safe apartment is nothing. Ukrainians are losing their lives, their homes everyday while the majority of Russian apartments carry on watching cartoons on TV. My view might be extreme but then as I said, GIVE RUSSIANS nothing until they stop the war. We live fear of some maniac pressing the nuclear button so let them live without an income.
The main reason I left this site was the Russian invasion. I got my money back due to a serious disagreement with the CEO about a r__e that to him was acceptable as well as he said, r__e is not such a big issue in Russia.
I was still spending time on the site but after the invasion I decided to boycott everything Russian. We live in a world where the Russians are threatening to use the nuclear option. We live in a world where Russia have cut off major energy fuel. We live in a world where Russia have ensured that many are starving due to food shortages as Ukrainian wheat and other food have been stopped being exported. The illegal invasion of an independent sovereign country by Russia has caused chaos to the world. So, you think I give a toss if some Russian participant on this site is cut off from their income? Why should they not feel suffering like many in the world have due to no cause of theirs.
Now I almost regret getting involved once again in a fruitless discussion leading nowhere but saying that without discussions there can be no solution. So once again I leave.
What you propose is called âCollective Punishmentâ I do not know about your country but in my country that is not allowed. Not even the participants of the Ukrainian places demanded such a step. You should pay attention that the hatred you obviously have is not starting to comsume youâŠ
Call it what you want and try be righteous about it, but it is my view. I am sick and tired of having to listen to people telling me how they are going to be suffering as they might not be able to warm their apartment as food is their choice rather than heat. All that is the Russians fault. I am sick and tired of reading about what the Russians have put all Ukrainians through (r__e, m____r, need I go on). So, forgive me for wanting every Russian to be made aware of what is going on.
Yet the Russian apartment are getting foreign income to keep themselves with heat and food. I am angry at what the Russians have done and if they do not do something to stop it, may they suffer as much as others do. They voted Putin in so let them get rid of him. Let every Russian be made aware of what Putin has done and what he is threatening to do.
I can give you many examples where collective punishment although wrong worked.
Another one of you condescending comments to insult others who dare have a difference of opinion to yours. I see them all the time in many posts. Where did you even get that from?
Not sure exactly but do you remember the recent post he made related to Russian & Ukraine war/politics in the Tod & Kellie topic? Do you also remember how VHTV warned subjects like that in their thread would result in disciplinary actions? My guess is that had something to do with it.
