Discussion about Russian invasion of Ukraine

Ukraine announced on Friday that it has liberated dozens of towns in its eastern and southern counteroffensives while Russian f___es attempt to retreat with their wounded in some occupied areas.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, posted a video in which Ukrainian soldiers said they had captured the eastern town of Balakliia near Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine.

And video posted to a Ukrainian news aggregator appeared to show the Russians had left behind trucks, artillery and ammunition.

Ukrainian military officials said that Russia was trying to evacuate wounded soldiers from Vilkhuvatka, a village southwest of Kharkiv, and Borodoyarske in the southeast.

The gain in territory will be a significant boost for Ukrainian morale while Russia, according to Western intelligence reports, has seen a huge number of casualties.

Until the Ukrainian flag flies over the Kremlin, there will be no peace.

But it’s admirable how Ukraine is doing. If the Western countries delivered more heavy weapons more quickly and more, they would be a long way ahead.

There are really kicking ass in that area, and they are very close to cutting off the two main supply lines (one rail and one road) that go south from Kupiansk through to Izyum. Once Izyum is cut off, they can take the whole damn region. :muscle: :ukraine: :muscle:

And only 30km to Kherson. They took the main road leading right to the city center.

It’s been like that for weeks mate as the front line is under 30klms away.

Seems it is going to be a bad winter for the Russians… :+1: :stuck_out_tongue:

Hope so, as many of the Russian troops are totally demoralised and haven’t been rotated in 7 months.

I wonder what is next in case they liberate Kherson area? Keep south towards Crimea or turn east and attack Donbass from two sides and maybe even retake Mariupol?

And I read they do not have enough warm things for winter…

Heartwarming footage from Ukraine.

An elderly woman freezes when she sees a soldier by her house as she thinks he’s from the Russian Army.

The Ukrainian soldier says “it’s our guys coming” and she gives him a long hug.

This is how liberation after 6 months looks like.

Evolution of the front in the last 36 hours, according to Russian sources. Complete collapse, Ukrainian f___es gained 70-80km and took over Kupiansk, the key hub for transporting Russians to the front.

Wow this is developing quickly as the bridge across the Oskol River in Kupyansk has suffered a slight malfunction.

Russia won’t be able to send reinf___ements to the city, and Russian troops still there won’t be able to leave.

The Ukrainian Army is closing the Izyum pocket.

Monsieur Frog, where have you been my friend, boy you have been missed as you are not too bad for a Frenchman.
