How come there were never any issues in the Donbas region before 2014? I travelled in that region in 2007 and I saw people living happily together with no conflict whatsoever. It was only after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014 that they started to stir up the region with separatist protests and subversive actions designed to promote Russia’s interests in the area.
So sorry, what do you expect Ukraine to do, just sit back and watch another country take over their lands? I feel sorry for the people of Donbas as they have been manipulated as pawns by Putin to further the interests of Russia and they don’t care about the people of this region, in fact, they promote conflict in the area to justify their illegal aggression towards Ukraine.

What an utterly sick and twisted nation the Russians are. 
Smolensk officials and local activists have brought heavy machinery to the Polish military cemetery in Katyn and threatened to destroy it in response to the “demolition of Soviet monuments in Poland”. They’ve also started a petition to resolve the “Katyn issue” once and for all.
Wow. To me it shows that the Russians are on their last resorts. In my country there are cemeteries for the Polish heroes in WW2. We will never forget. There will not be any Russian heroes in this war.
The Katyn massacre is where the soviet NKVD on orders from Stalin m____red nearly 22,000 Polish military officers in 1943 and tried to blame the Germans for it.
None of the Russian cemeteries are touched here in Poland and are maintained out of respect; however, statues of Lenin and Stalin are removed along with any glorification to the former Soviet occupiers. Poland was under Soviet persecution for 48 years and the Russians think that Poland was liberated and should be thankful and subservient.
Putin will not stop before Ukraine is as flat as a pancake.
