Ah just looked it up. Bit strange still having a holiday after more than 100 years after the end of WWI
It was supposed to be the war that ended all wars, but sadly we all know reality. We should never forget the tragedies of war.
Yeah I agree. But I suggest a world wide peace day or so for that.

We don’t have a public holiday on Armistice Day but most respect the 2min silence at 11am 
Our commemoration is on the Sunday following with the parade of all the services and veterans at the Cenotaph.in Whitehall.
Still veterans alive? I doubt that. A baby born at the ending of WWI would now be 103 years old. A veteran at least 119 years old…

Not veterans of WW1, any person who has served in the military. I used to go to military marches honoring fallen soldiers and believe me I am not quite 119.
