I believe that with the new rules, there can not be 2 punishments for the same thing. So either a penalty, either a red card. I’m not very good with all the rules

It is always at the discretion of the referee, but for serious fouls there is normally always a red card.
Yes, but not when it is also a penalty, that’s just penalty and yellow or similar.

If you make a genuine attempt to win the ball then there is no double jeopardy, it’s a penalty and a possibility of a yellow card, if you make no genuine effort, for example pulling the player back by his jersey then it’s a red card and a penalty
edit to say, these rules only apply inside the penalty box, different rules apply outside of the penalty box

I said that i don’t know perfectly the new rules, i only know that it was changed and there can not be two maximum punishments for the same thing or something like that. I haven’t even double checked to be honest
