Boundaries for posting videos

When was that? Maybe it has to do with the new forum software? My two transgressions were within the last 8 days.

For me it must have been in November. Could of course be related to the update…

Do you remember if your upload failed from the get-go or when it was almost finished? One could start uploading a gigabyte file to see what the server says about it…

It was right at the beginning… The upload status still showed 0%…

I just tried to upload a 177MB file. After about 20 seconds the upload broke off and the error message came up…

OK, now i’m confused. I’m trying to come up with explanations. Could it be a file uses up a little more space on an iMac’s SSD than it woukd on a windows PC, due ti the different filing systems? Would you care to download the bathtub video in the Ariela and Sebastian forum from 7 days ago, to see what size it reports in Windows? That’s the one that my system indicates as 100.5 MB…

You’re right. The video is only 95.8 MB on Windows

Good to know. So I have a little more wiggle room.

MacOS has a different File System than Windows… Windows uses NTFS and MacOS uses APFS

Another mystery solved. Thank you, Mohrchi.
